[September 30, 2020: Guilford, CT] Aunt Minnie, one of the leading voices in radiology and the medical imaging industry, has named Hyperfine as one of two finalists for Best New Radiology Vendor in its 2020 Minnies Awards. The first round of the award program included over 200 candidates in 14 categories. The final winner will be selected in October by an expert panel of judges.
For over 20 years, the Minnies have recognized excellence in medical imaging by enabling imaging specialists to acknowledge the contributions of their peers and industry supporters in the field of radiology. Candidates are nominated by members of AuntMinnie.com, with winners chosen by a panel of radiology experts after two rounds of voting.
Hyperfine’s first product is the Swoop™ portable MR imaging system, which was designed to address the limitations of current imaging technologies and make MRI accessible anytime, anywhere, to any patient. Swoop™ wheels directly to the patient’s bedside, plugs into a standard electrical wall outlet, and is controlled by a wireless tablet such as Apple iPad®. Images are captured at the patient’s bedside, with results in minutes, enabling critical decision-making capabilities across a variety of clinical settings including neuro intensive care units, emergency departments, pediatrics, ambulatory outpatient surgery centers and more. The complete Hyperfine system costs less than the annual service contract alone for most current MRI systems. Designed as a complementary system to traditional MRIs, new users can be trained on system operation, device navigation and device safety in about 30 minutes, helping clinicians to streamline workflow.About Hyperfine Research
